Art Size: 8" x 10"
Framed Size: 11” x 13”
"I came across these roses while touring the Spanish gardens of Generalife in the Alhambra Fortress. During the late Middle Ages, the Muslims at Granada rerouted a river pouring down from the Sierra Nevada mountain range to promote water to the fortress and surrounding area and to eventually create the lush gardens Generalife."
Trijsten Leach grew up in California's Santa Cruz mountains and gained an early appreciation of the landscape. That love and appreciation of the natural world brought him to study art in Hawaii at Brigham Young University Hawaii.
After graduating Leach worked in a couple of non-creative fields for seven years before being drawn back to art. In 2017 Trijsten committed himself to creating art full time through landscape painting.
Since then Trijsten has participated in many shows and competitions, as well as winning awards, including 1st place at the Driggs Idaho Pleinair Competition. Leach sells his work in a number of Utah galleries. He lives with his wife and two children in Utah along the Wasatch mountain range.
