Lake Powell Skies

I am a contemporary painter whose work explores memory, connection, and the emotional pull of place. Art became my first language before I spoke, and it remains my most natural form of expression. Now a mother of four, painting creates moments of stillness within daily life. Inspired by “happy places” rooted in nature and childhood, I focus on how landscapes feel rather than exact representation. Much of my work begins outdoors, painting from life to capture shifting light and atmosphere, then continues in the studio through layered oil paint. My goal is to create work that feels familiar and comforting, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their own memories.
