Jens Kongshammer (1884-1954) was a Danish born artist who studied at the Academy of fine arts in Copenhagen before moving to Paris to paint. He is well known for his post-impressionist Paris street scenes and heavy impasto paint work was his trademark. The oil dates back to the early 20th century.
