Carl Høyrup is a well-listed Danish artist, whose works have been offered at auctions (f.ex. Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Bruun Rasmussen) multiple times. He graduated from the Royal academy of Art in Copenhagen, where he was a student of Viggo Brandt and the famous Danish animal painter Johannes Larsen. Høyrup specializes in hunting scenes, which often include game and/or hunting dogs and was also used as an illustrator in hunting magazines.
All vintage items have some evidence of wear which is part of their charm. The history and soul of the piece are in its handmade nature. May have minor imperfections due to aging.
