This beautiful sunny day made the colors so bright I had to paint the scene
Susan enjoys painting rural Utah landscapes on location, often with farm animals or figures. An occasional portrait or still life are also favorites of hers. She studied oil painting at the UofU primarily from Paul Davis and watercolor from Ed Maryon. Both professors became lifelong friends. She established Kings Cottage Art School where she taught along with other professional artists for forty five years. Several books have articles and images of her paintings in them. She has been written about in several magazines, published in calendars, pamphlets etc.
