"While in western France we crossed this bridge almost every day for a month. It was built in the 14th century across the river Gartempe. The town of Montmorillon was built on either side of the river making the bridge a focal point to life in the area."
Trijsten Leach grew up in California's Santa Cruz mountains and gained an early appreciation of the landscape. That love and appreciation of the natural world brought him to study art in Hawaii at Brigham Young University Hawaii.
After graduating Leach worked in a couple of non-creative fields for seven years before being drawn back to art. In 2017 Trijsten committed himself to creating art full time through landscape painting.
Since then Trijsten has participated in many shows and competitions, as well as winning awards, including 1st place at the Driggs Idaho Pleinair Competition. Leach sells his work in a number of Utah galleries. He lives with his wife and three children in Utah along the Wasatch mountain range.
