This painting was made last year during the Wasatch Plein Air Paradise competition in June. I woke up early to catch the sunrise over Timp. The morning was cold and beautiful and the sunlight moved quickly over the mountain. Painting it was a sprint. I remember my hands were cold from the brisk mountain air.
